2. Following is our BRANCHES Statement of Faith. Please read it carefully and prayerfully as we require your agreement with it in order to be in leadership and, as such, to represent BRANCHES.

. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, His complete and final revelation.
The Bible is without error in theological concepts, geographical designations or historical detail (2 Timothy 3:16).

. We believe that God has existed from eternity in three Persons (Genesis 1:26; 21:33): the Father (Matthew 6:9-10), Son Gohn 10:29), and the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4). Jesus Christ came in human form, fully God Gohn 8:58; 10:29), and fully man (Matthew 1:16; 4:2), except as He was without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

. We believe that all men are in violation of God's righteous requirements and His holy character by nature and act (Romans 3:23), and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation (Romans 6:23a).

. We believe that the central purpose of the coming of Jesus was to pay the penalty for the sins of man through His substitutionary death on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 5:10). This task was successful, as shown by His visible bodily resurrection (Acts 1:3).

. We believe that salvation is offered as a gift, free to every sinner (Romans 6:23b). This gift must be accepted by individual faith Gohn 1:12), not trusting one's own works but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6).

. Commit to serve a two-year term, ending on June 30 of the second term.
Typically, it takes a year to "get the hang" of the job. We ask Leaders to commit to and be prepared to serve for a two-year term, knowing that circumstances and the Lord's leading may alter this course Are you prepared to make this commitment? (Yes / No)

. Rotate out of any leadership position at least every six years for a Sabbatical year. The Chaircouple will rotate out after two years, but will be able to fill other leadership positions for up to six years.
We believe that all leaders need a rest and should, therefore, not serve more than six years without taking a break from the responsibilities of leadership. This is in accordance with the principles the Lord established for His people in Leviticus 25:1-7 and the violation of which earned them God's judgment. This also provides for others to have opportunity to serve.

. Read the BRANCHES By-laws.
Many miscommunications and misunderstandings can be avoided by being clear on how our group operates, and our policies and procedures. Have you carefully read our most recent By-Laws and the Policies and Procedures outlined in the Membership Directory? (Yes / No) .

. Read the Job Description for the position being sought.
We do not want you to agree to something without being clear as to the responsibilities of that position. Have you looked over the Job Description carefully and agree to carry out these duties to the best of your ability? (Yes / No).

. Submit a resignation to the Chaircouple if at any time you are unable to fulfill your responsibilities to BRANCHES. As mentioned already, we understand that extenuating circumstances may arise and that there are times people are unable to fulfill their obligations.
